Effy Simon is an artist and songwriter from Emmaboda. She started her artist project in London in 2019 and has since lived on Gotland and in Malmö, where she found her current band. Since 2022, she has been back as an artist in the countryside and, in parallel with her musical career, has been driving the Emmabodakalaset, a festival that carries on the tradition of live music in the countryside. Since last year, she has been involved in the project "Effy Simon extends the memory of Vilhelm Moberg" where she combines her passion for music and local history to highlight one of Sweden's most important writers.
